After the wedding, life will be different and during the formation of your relationship with that person you wish to spend your days with, you should also hand out gifts to your spouse especially during your anniversary. For most couples giving anniversary gifts to your partner just showcases a real relationship of love, friendship and marriage.
In the beginning, couples only give gift during their 25th anniversary and during their 50th wedding anniversary. But probably, not a lot of couples made it through their 50th anniversary during the middle ages since life expectancy during those ages were not that long. Probably, those who were even able to make it through their 50th anniversary caused for a much bigger celebration.
Gifts were mostly associated with the 1st, 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, 50th, and 75th anniversaries. But giving gifts also changed for the better during 1937 when the American National Retail Jeweler Association made gifts that are meant with the in-between years that previously years didn’t have gifts and added some modern gifts together with the old traditional gifts.
