Parents Wedding Anniversary Gifts
Last minute gift – parents’ 25th wedding anniversary tomorrow!?
It’s my parents 25th wedding anniversary TOMORROW and i desperately need rapid help on a gift idea!! I know its their anniversary every year on the 10th and usually I get them a card and some flowers, but i have only just come home from university since january so it hadnt been mentioned it was an important year! As a student, i have very limited money, and as its tomorrow, i have very little time! Please help?!! Hopefully something thoughtful, but its too late to collect photos from years ago. Thankyou!!
Buy them a star, name it for them.
Plant a tree in a local park.
If they have a charity that is dear to their heart, give to that.
give it to their church, be clear to the preacher you want to give it to the church in exchange for mentioning their names in church. Or give it to him, hey, preachers usually do not make grand salaries.
Buy some candlesticks that would go with their decor, and say that you are celebrating the past, while lighting the way for a good future.
A gift card for their favorite restaurant.
Send flowers. Or Order some and pick them up and take them over.Send one of those fruit arrangements.
Send a fruit basket
Send or take yard flowers. Dad and I used to buy Mom hanging baskets for the front porch every year for Mothers Day. Start a tradition, buy a concrete or lasting planter, and fill it every year.
I liked the bench idea, offer to do the labor for a little garden or a planter or garden pots later this year. Offer to buy X amount of flowers to contribute to their planting this year, or give a gift certificate to their usual garden supply store.
Bake a cake, decorate it, and take it over.
Buy supper and take it over for them.
Make their favorite treats. Mine would be Chex mix and/or fantasy fudge.
And do not apologize for the small gift, smile, tell them you will make it up to them when yu become a big time___ whatever you are studying to be.
My parents bought themselves a trip to Vegas for an anniversary. Not only did they ask me to go with them[I paid my own way], but I gave them cash wrapped up in a small box [I think it ws $200 or $250, I do not remember} and told them to spend it however they wanted. Left them the option to gamble with it, see a show, spend it on expenses, or come home with it. I have to say, that was the only present in all the years of gift giving that Mom really liked. Mom kept put the fancy expensive Hallmark bow in the box, and brought it home, we traded it back and forth for years as a joke and an ode to her cheapness and resourcefulness and superior suitcase packing skills, and my good taste. I knew she would try to save it! And she did, the cheapskate!
If they are planning a trip, think up something small to give them. Like a bon voyage party, decorated cake and all.
