Ideas for my parents Silver Wedding Anniversary?
We’re going to an upper class hotel for two nights (me, the parents and my 3 siblings)- they’re 52 and it’s their silver wedding and naturally I want to save up to give them something spectular/memorable/fun- it’s in AUgust so the weather should be lovely…..
Any ideas for presents? What do people give their parents on these types of occasions, I thought about hiring a singer for their posh meal… ? What about events or shows or something? What would you do for yours? Help!! lol
Be careful about springing a surprise renewal of vows on them. They may not feel comfortable with the idea.
However, there is no reason why you should broach the idea with them and say that as your gift to them you will organise a small ceremony.
BTW, as a renewal of vows is not a legal ceremony you do not have to have an ordained minister do it. Anyone can lead the ceremony. But if they attend church it would be lovely to have their clergy person lead the ceremony.
